(Nashville/pla) - Carla Williams premieres her new single Love to Gain, a duet with Kirk Sullivan of the Grammy nominated and eight time DOVE award winning group 4HIM, today on all major online retailers. Available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon, Love to Gain was penned by Williams and eleven time Billboard #1 writer Steve Dorff. Under the production wings of Tom Hemby, a four time DOVE award winner, this track blossomed into a song teeming with admiration for the bountiful blessing one can experience in life.
“I was reflecting on a series of amazing experiences that I had recently encountered while I was flying back from LA,” recalls Carla. “The lyrics just started pouring out of me and as soon as we had service again, I texted Steve and told him I had lyrics, but I needed music. As he always does, Steve composed a beautiful melody. I guess I should call this song the terminal tune because I sat it on the shelf for nearly a decade until I ran into Kirk at another airport. We chatted about the idea of singing together and that’s when I realized that Love to Gain was about to come to life.”
Grammy award winning producer Tom Hemby describes the song as “a song with a marvelous message. Love to Gain revealed itself musically. I was so thrilled by the time we got Carla’s vocal on there as the song just kind of exploded. I hope a lot of people are blessed by it.”
“I love Carla’s duet performance with Kirk Sullivan on our song Love to Gain,” says Steve Dorff. “The production sounds great and the vocals are beautiful.”
Carla and Kirk will be premiering the single on NBC’s “Today in Nashville” on Tuesday, February 26. The show airs at 11 AM CT on WSMV Channel 4. Following that appearance, they will be sharing the new music with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation’s, Seacrest Studio at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
“My cousin Taylor, who was five at the time, was diagnosed with leukemia and organizations like these provide the foundation for families that are going through what is sure to be the hardest part of their lives. They make the experience as comfortable as possible. Fortunately, Taylor is now 15 years old. We couldn’t be more grateful for organizations like the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude and others that step in when families need them most.”

both changed so much since my first album and record deal. I now have a fourth child, I got to take the final journey through my grandmother’s battle with Parkinson’s disease and I own my
own business. It’s been an incredible journey and I’m excited to share it through my music.” Beyond her musical talents, this model that has appeared in campaigns for Dillard’s and Buckle also
